Flavor Flav’s restaurant opened to a sizable crowd on Monday! The giant-clock wearing rapper was on site to cook his own fried chicken. Apparently, Flavor knows how to flavor his chicken and he knows how to cook it up too! His restaurant, Flav’s Fried Chicken, is located in Clinton, Iowa.

The proud new restaurant owner stated he’d gotten the idea to open up a fried chicken joint of his own after he fried up some good ol’ delicious chicken for Peter Cimino, a Las Vegas restaurateur. Cimino started selling Flavor Flav’s chicken wings at his restaurant and later Peter’s brother, Nick, helped Flavor by acquiring an empty building in Iowa for Flav to build up his own fried chicken joint. That building was located next to Nick’s own restaurant.

Flavor Flav has vowed to occasionally come into his Iowa restaurant to season and cook his chicken before serving it to his customers! Flav stated he’s not afraid of KFC. Perhaps KFC should now be afraid of him! It’s really rare to see a celebrity so hands own when it come to a venture such as a restaurant. However, let’s face it, it’s not like Flavor has much else of anything going on. (Read More).

It’s easy to see that now, but still hard to believe it would be confirmed by a few racy text messages instead of a 300-pound defender.

Favre’s season was off to a rocky start even before reports of his alleged hobby began making the rounds. He showed up late nursing a bum ankle and the tendinitis in his right elbow flared up soon afterward. Then the losses started piling up.

Counting Monday’s night’s beating by the Jets at the Meadowlands, Favre was lugging around a quarterback rating that is lower than any he’s posted for a full season in his 20-year career, and he’s already thrown as many interceptions — seven — as he did all of last season.

But it’s a measure of how much worse things have gone for Favre away from the field that he was only entertaining questions about his struggles on it.

“If you want to talk about what happened in the football game I would love to,” Favre said. (Read More).

NEWARK, Del. (CBS/AP) – New Castle County Police have charged a 14-year-old after he forced a 7-year-old into a portable toilet and knocked it over with the boy inside.

“He just started laughing and just walked away,” said 7-year-old victim Zack Montero.

It happened Sunday about 7:45 p.m. on Scottfield Drive in Newark. Police say three boys, ages 7 and 8, were riding their bikes in Hann Park when the teenager threatened Zack and forced him into a “Port-o-John.”

The teen pushed over the toilet onto the door, preventing the boy from escaping. The boy’s two friends were able to get him out. The boy, who suffered a knee injury and was covered in waste, went home and told his father.

“As a dad, immediately, I got very furious and all the thoughts of what I wanted to do about the situation went through my head were all illegal. So naturally I didn’t do that,” said Dave Montero, Zack’s dad.

The 14-year-old is charged with unlawful imprisonment, assault and harassment. He was released to his parents on $4,000 unsecured bail and ordered to have no contact with the young victim. (Read More).

Sanchez, who was born in Cuba and had worked at CNN since 2004, was host of the two-hour “Rick’s List” on CNN’s afternoon lineup. He did a prime-time version of that show in recent months, but that ended this week because the time slot is being filled by a new show featuring former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer and columnist Kathleen Parker.

Stewart had frequently poked fun of Sanchez on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” most recently for saying on the air that his show had received a tweet from House Republican leader John Boehner. Stewart called it a case of “send a twit a tweet.” (Read More).

After performing a hysterectomy last year, a California gynecologist used a cauterizing tool to brand his patient’s name on her removed uterus, an unorthodox move that the doctor calls a “friendly gesture,” but which the woman terms “despicable conduct” in a medical negligence lawsuit.

In a Superior Court lawsuit filed earlier this month, Ingrid Paulicivic, a 47-year-old hairdresser, charges that Dr. Red Alinsod used an “electrocautery device to carve and burn” the word “Ingrid” on her uterus, which was removed during a June 2009 operation at his Orange County office.

Paulicivic alleges that the branding was done for “no medically necessary purpose or reason” and that she somehow suffered burns on her legs while the uterus was being marked, according to her complaint. In an interview, Paulicivic’s lawyer, Devan Mullins, called the branding “inexcusably bizarre behavior,” adding that the 50-year-old Alinsod was “fooling around and having fun.” (Read More).

Lousy counterfeit $20s.
Run off on a color copier, apparently.

“They’re pretty poor. I didn’t have to touch them and I knew they were bad,” said Detective Sgt. William K. Covert.

They were almost as obvious as the copies of $1 bills he’s seen created by students trying to fool soda machines.

The paper didn’t feel right. It lacked the colored threads. And Andrew Jackson’s face was kind of fuzzy.

Ronald White, 35, was arrested for several counts of shoplifting from a Burlington Coat Factory and Shop-Rite on Route 130. (Read More).

The raid happened at about 6 p.m. inside a home in the 700 block of Earp Street in South Philadelphia.

“We got three floors, they’re in every floor, in every bedroom, every room in the property,” George Bengal of the SPCA explained.

Bengal estimated approximately 100 animals, mostly Chihuahuas, were rescued from the home.

According to eyewitnesses, the floors of the home were covered in nearly two feet of animal feces.

Bengal described the woman who lived at the home as a hoarder who kept the animals inside the home.

The investigation into the home began a year ago when neighbors began complaining of an overwhelming stench coming from the house.

Sources told Eyewitness News that officials were trying for months to obtain a warrant to enter the home and were finally able to do on Wednesday after receiving a tip call. (Read More).

A drunk man who climbed into a crocodile enclosure in Australia and attempted to ride a 5m (16ft) long crocodile has survived his encounter.

The crocodile, called Fatso, bit the 36-year-old man’s leg, tearing chunks of flesh from him as he straddled the reptile.

He received surgery to serious wounds to his leg and is recovering in hospital, police say.

He had been chucked out of a pub in the town of Broome for being too drunk.

The man, who was not named by the police, climbed over a fence and tried to sit on the 800kg (1,800lb) saltwater crocodile.

“Fatso has taken offence to this and has spun around and bit this man on the right leg,” Sgt Roger Haynes of Broome police told journalists.

“The crocodile has let him go and he’s been able to scale the fence again and leave the wildlife park.” (Read More).

After nearly a week of endless news coverage of King James, the NBA superstar decided to announce where he’s going to play next season in the most obnoxious way possible: During a one-hour special on ESPN.
LBJ isn’t the first athlete to pull a move like this, though. To commemorate ‘Bron’s latest act, we decided to take a look back at 11 of the most self-centered acts ever performed by professional athletes. Safe to say, these guys love the spotlight.

Commercial fishermen landed the 3-foot-long, 20-pound bighead carp in Lake Calumet on Chicago’s South Side, about six miles from Lake Michigan, according to the Asian Carp Regional Coordinating Committee.

Officials said they need more information to determine the significance of the find.

“The threat to the Great Lakes depends on how many have access to the lakes, which depends on how many are in the Chicago waterway right now,” said John Rogner, assistant director of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. (Read More).
